Sheikh Kabir Hossain

Mr. Sheikh Kabir Hossain is a renowned initiator, businessman and social reformer at the national and international levels. An experienced development practitioner and scholar, his areas of specialization are education, employment, gender and poverty with a focus on the working poor in the informal economy.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain was born in a respectable SHEIKH family of Tungipara in the District of Gopalganj, Bangladesh in 1942 (AC). His father’s name Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain and mother’s name Rahela Khatun. Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain was conferred with a title “Khan Shaheb” by the British-India Government for his outstanding self-finance social activities. He obtained Master of Arts Degree from the University of Dhaka.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain has been performing his responsibilities and duties successfully in different institutions, associations and committees such as; Chairman, Fareast International University (FIU), Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), Khan Shaheb Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain School & College and Khan Shaheb Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain Foundation, President (former), Governing body, Ideal College, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Member, Board of Governors, Bangladesh Open University, Regent Board of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science, and Technology University, Gopalganj, Regent Board of Jessore University of Science and Technology and Syndicate Member, Khulna Agricultural University, Khulna.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain is a prominent Economist. He is engaged in different Economic ventures and associations like President, Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), Chairman, Sonar Bangla Insurance Ltd., Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL), National Tea Company Ltd. (NTC), Member, National Consumer Right Protection Council, Ministry of Commerce, GOB, Board of Governors, Bangladesh Academy for Securities Markets (BASM), Ministry of Finance, GOB, National Social Welfare Council, Ministry of Social Welfare, GOB and Board of Governors, Bangladesh Insurance Academy, Ministry of Finance, GOB.
He is acknowledged nationally and internationally as a celebrated social activist. His affiliations with different social activities and associations are; Chairman (former), Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Founder Chairman, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Chairman, Gopalganj Zilla Samity Dhaka, International Director, Lions Club International for the year 2005 – 2007, Vice-Chairman, Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital, Dhaka, Lifetime Member, Bangladesh Andhakalyan Samity, Lifetime Member, Bangladesh Family Planning Association and Lifetime Member, Bangladesh Lions Foundation.
He is awarded as the “Ambassador of Goodwill” from the Lions Club International and the Presidential Award and also the Leadership Medal. He is also awarded CIP by the Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh. He received (1) “Sher-E-Bangla Gold Medal-2000” for Shamaj Sheba (service to society) from Bangla Youth Forum. (2) “DeshBandhu Gold Medal” from DeshBandhu C.R. Dash Research Council on Manob Sheba (service for humanity) from Bangladesh and (3) “Bangladesh Red Crescent Award-2019” for his outstanding service to the humankind.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain travelled more than 31 countries like – Japan, The USA, The UK, Canada, Thailand, France, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, The UAE, Egypt, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Australia, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Morocco and so on.
Masuda Kabir

Mrs. Masuda Kabir a renowned businessman and Social reformer. An experienced development practitioner and humanitarian, her areas of specialization are women rights, gender and employment with a focus on the working women in the private sector.
Mrs. Masuda received a Bachelor of Arts. She was born in a respectable Muslim family of Khulna, Bangladesh. Her father’s name Nuruzzaman Khan and mother’s name Dil Afroza Zaman. She was born in 1955(AC).
She is the Chairman of Sonar Bangla Capital Management Ltd. and Managing Director of Jing Ling Chinese Restaurant Ltd. Director of Kabico Limited, Vice Chairman of Kabico Health Institute and Vice Chairman of Khan Shaheb Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain Foundation.
She visited around 30 countries like – The USA, The UK, Canada, Thailand, France, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, The UAE, Egypt, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Australia, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Morocco and so on.
Sheikh Mosadeq Kabir

Mr. Sheikh Mosadeq Kabir a renowned businessman works in the field of higher education and insurance. A smart & visionary development practitioner his areas of specialization are poverty alleviation, quality education, gender and community development with a focus on the vulnerable community in Bangladesh.
Mr. Mosadeq received a Master’s of Business Administration degree. He is performing his responsibilities successfully as a Deputy Managing Director of Sonar Bangla Insurance, Director (Finance) of Fareast International University (FIU) and Director of Kabico Limited. Business is his profession but his heart & mindset lead him to do something new, something innovative and something more for the betterment of the under privileged peoples in Bangladesh. He is Treasurer of Khan Shaheb Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain Foundation.
Asoke Kumar Biswas

Mr. Asoke Kumar Biswas works with a renowned construction firm. He is visiting all over the country and interacting with different community in the rural as well as urban areas of Bangladesh frequently. He works mainly in the field of construction and safe housing.
His interest and feeling towards poor and marginalized peoples made him a development activist. An experienced development activist his areas of specialization are poverty alleviation, quality education, and health & hygiene, water sanitation and child education with a focus on the poor & destitute families in Bangladesh.
Mr. Asoke received a Master’s of Social Science degree in 1996 from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in Political Science.
He was born in 1967 in a respectable Hindu family in Rajbari district. His father’s name Romendra Nath Biswas and mother’s name Laxmi Rani Biswas.
Sheikh Mosfeq Kabir

Mr. Sheikh Mosfeq Kabir a renowned lawyer works in the field of human rights and justice. His contribution as prosecutor in the war crime tribunal is appreciable. A smart & visionary development practitioner, his areas of specialization are alleviation of injustice and all sort of sufferings due to the delay and denial of rights, inequality and decimation with a focus on the destitute women and children in Bangladesh.
Mr. Mosfeq received a Master’s of Law degree from UK. He is prouder member of Sheikh Family. Contributing his valuable time and thoughts for benefit of deprived peoples on the way to justice for under privileged peoples. He is involve in Lionism. He was born in 1985. He is General Secretary of Khan Shaheb Sheikh Mosharraf Hossain Foundation.

Mrs. Inshirah Emdad skilled Architect Engineer professionally a businessman. She works in the field of designing, planning and consultancy. Apotential development practitioner and humanitarian, her areas of specialization are women rights, gender and employment with a focus on the working women in the private sector.
Mrs. Inshirah Emdad received a Master’s of Architect Engineering degree.

Mr. Sheikh Tozammel HaqueTutul renowned businessman works in the field of community development and advancement of the society. As a grassroots level development practitioner, his areas of specialization are poverty alleviation, quality education, gender and community development with a focus on the vulnerable and destitute communities in Bangladesh.
Mr. Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dhaka University and started community development activities in Tungipara, Gopalganj from his young age. He is a successful development activist and has established relationship with the community for his performance. Sheikh family is his proud and heritage.
